Ancheer Electric Bike Full Review | Pros and Cons
You probably know people who pay between $4000 and $2000 for an Electric bike, then when they want to sell it, they can’t because of its price, and it’s gonna be very hard to find a guy who wants to buy it used and overpriced.
Well, Ancheer has the solution to that. it’s an Electric bike under $600 (shipping price included), very easy to assemble and full body aluminum. So if you’re going to buy your very first e-bike, Ancheer is a very good choice, and it’s just as powerful as many expensive and overpriced electric bikes, and the battery can give you a 20-mile ride full charged. This bike is built to a price, so you don’t have to expect top quality components.

Design & Features
The battery is probably the first thing you will notice in the frame, it’s big and oversized, and if you look at it from a distance it will look like drinks bottle. That make you riding an electric bike but its frame is exactly like any other regular mountain bike.
Some electric bikes come with a hidden battery inside the frame which is impossible to steal it. Although, Ancheer’s battery can be locked with a key and that’s a very good feature to keep it safe.
The bike doesn’t come completely disassembled, and that’s a positive point, and it doesn’t require to be a pro to gather it, and you can finish it in less than 30 minutes. All you need to assemble is the front tire, the flashlight, the pedals, and the seat, even the breaks are ready to use.
The battery as mentioned is removable with a capacity of 36v 8,8ah | 317wh (watt-hours). The estimated usage can vary between 20wh – 25wh per mile, which means that it would work out at 15 miles. (these numbers could be higher or lower, depending on the power level you’re using, your weight and the wind speed).
The battery is made in China and you shouldn’t be expecting the same longevity as you’ll get with some expensive electric bikes. But otherwise the battery is cheap and you can replace it anytime you need to. Check my list of electric bike batteries.
I really like this battery setup because there are no racks with battery strapped to them or bags hanging off your top tube, and you can charge the battery in the bike or take it out and charge it elsewhere, and I think that could come in handy if you store your bike in an unheated or run air-conditioned garage or shed and you want to keep your battery safe.
If you are more than 6’1 feet you will probably find the bike a little too small for you because Ancheer is only available in one size. So I think the perfect rider’s hight should be (5’2 – 5’10), and if you more than that you will be uncomfortable while riding the bike.
The price ($600 – check the current price on Amazon) is very suitable for most of the people, it’s actually one of the cheapest electric bikes in the market which can give you almost the same performance as the expensive e-biked.
This electric bike can go up to 25 mph using its 21-speed transmission system which gives you the flexibility to travel fast. The bike also comes with an LED headlight to help you riding in low-light conditions.
The control panel has 4 modes, the low is default and there is also a medium and a high mode, these are pedal assist mode and you turn all the lights out you can go into full electric mode and if you’re wondering what that is, that’s a mode where you can use the throttle that’s on the right grip you twist it like an electric scooter.
There are also two buttons below the throttle, one for the horn and the other for headlight
Testing The Electric Bike
This E-bike is an easy bike to ride, I tested out on hills, and it did amazingly a great job, Yes I know it’s only a 250-watt bike but the ride is effortless especially on hills, it can climb 15 miles worth of large hills.
the throttle control works perfectly when I get into traffic because it gives me the ability to rapidly change my output level without the need for shifting or switching between any of the other modes.
I’ve seen of affordable e-bikes is the cadence so people say they don’t turn off fast enough but you’ll see here, this one turns off as soon as you quit peddling.
I’ve had a week with this e-bike, I learned that I really like e-bikes in an embarrassing way because it turns out I’ll take the easy way if it is available, and an e-bike lets me do that.
In my opinion, this is a great e-bike, but don’t get me wrong it’s not a $3000 one but it is quite decent especially for the money. I’ve seen reviews on other electric bikes that say 250 watts isn’t enough to push one around but this one pushes its 47.6 pounds quite well, and based on the other reviews I’ve seen where people have thousands of miles on this same model my confidence is pretty high.
it’s got just enough polish and just enough features to work and not feel cheap even the headlight that puts out a decently usable amount of light.
